< About Me />
Who I Am
I'm Mitchell Starkey, a farm boy turned front end engineer from Lebanon, Indiana. I love learning new skills, teaching aspiring developers, and collaborating with coworkers to get things done. Following Indiana University, I was accepted into the +70 hours / week Designation bootcamp in Chicago where I gained experiences and skills necessary for a full stack designer. This included everything from wireframes to Adobe Suite to Javascript.
Following the educational years, I moved to Louisville and worked as a Front End Developer for ALTOUR for just shy of 2 years. During my free time I enjoyed mentoring/teaching at the local Code Louisville bootcamp. After 2 years in NYC working for PCH, I am now currently working as a Front End Developer at Red Ventures in Charlotte, NC. I'm always open to part time or freelance work for exciting projects.

< Personal Recommendations />
"I have been working with Mitchell Starkey for over a year. He started as a Junior Web Developer and grew his role within this short period of time. He is smart, responsive and easy to work with. He is a self starter and is always willing to take on more responsibility and work on new projects. He is on top of current technologies, and regularly offers up recommendations and explanations that help us make a better product. He is a member of the team that switched parts of product to React. He will be a great addition to any organization."
"Mitchell Starkey is one of those rare developers that has both strong technical skills and an eye for great design. He is also an excellent communicator, able to convey information in a clear and understandable manner. In addition to his outstanding skills and abilities he gives back to the developer community by teaching and mentoring students at Code Louisville. This, of course, strengthens his technical skills and abilities as well. I recommend Mitchell Starkey without any reservations. He is one of those great needle in a haystack developers that everyone is looking for!"
"Mitchell was able to break down complex instructions into an easy to follow, step to step process"
